وذكرت “كريستين كراولي” رئيسة إدارة الإطفاء في لوس أنجليس، أن أكثر من 25 ألف شخص في 10 آلاف منزل تعرضوا للخطر، وهو ما يعادل تعداد سكان منطقة “باسيفيك باليساديس” تقريبًا، وأن أكثر من خمسة بالمئة من المنطقة التي تبلغ مساحتها 23431 فدانًا تعرضت للحريق.

وقبل نشوب الحريق، أعلنت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية الوطنية الأمريكية أعلى حالة تأهب من الحرائق في معظم أنحاء لوس أنجليس من الثلاثاء إلى الخميس، وتوقعت هبوب رياح تتراوح سرعتها بين 80 إلى 130 كيلومترًا في الساعة.
