انتخاب أول امرأة على رأس المجلس الإسلامي في بريطانيا

فازت البريطانية زارا محمد بمنصب أمين عام المجلس الإسلامي في بريطانيا الذي يعتبر أكبر هيئة تابعة للديانة الإسلامية في بريطانيا.

وتم انتخاب زارا محمد في الانتخابات التي جرت نهاية الأسبوع المنصرم لاختيار ممثل للمجلس الذي يمثل المساجد والمدارس الجمعيات والمنظمات الإسلامية في بريطانيا.

وباتت زارا محمد التي رأت النور في غلاسكو أول إمرأة مسلمة تشغل هذا المنصب خلفا لهارون خان الذي كلف بهذا المنصب لولايتين منذ العام 2016.
